Every once and awhile a session comes around that just fills me with so much joy, creativity, excitement, and gratitude for what I get to do. This was one of those. I never take for granted the gift it is to be allowed into someones scared first few weeks with their new family member! Newborn sessions are always slow, and calm too, because we let baby run the show. Really just the chefs kiss and definitely my favorite type of session to photograph!

Sometimes its hard to fall asleep when you KNOW you will be needing to parent in the middle of the night. Here is the fruit of that insomnia I have. I’ve really felt a calling to share this little story with you all, who knows who needs to hear it? Hopefully just one of you does and that would make this level of vulnerability all worth it.
