Every once and awhile a session comes around that just fills me with so much joy, creativity, excitement, and gratitude for what I get to do. This was one of those. I never take for granted the gift it is to be allowed into someones scared first few weeks with their new family member! Newborn sessions are always slow, and calm too, because we let baby run the show. Really just the chefs kiss and definitely my favorite type of session to photograph!

Another great joy, is having membership clients! I get to document baby on the inside and freshly on the outside. How lucky am I? This little lady did so so well and the fact that we were able to get that smile? I mean, come on! She is clearly so loved and cared for. I look forward to getting to witness her grow up.

Images are a combination of Fuji Pro 400h film taken on a medium format Pentax 645 120mm as well as digital images taken on a Canon 5D Mark IV. The Archetype Process – fujifilm pro pack was used to match digitals to the film.
