Every once in awhile, I get invited to join my dearest friend Paige to a session. These invitations are so crucial for my creativity, but more importantly, they are so important for my mental health in a largely lonesome career like photography. That is why, on International Women’s day, I am choosing to showcase this session. Not only is a true celebration of the strength women display during pregnancy, but it’s incredibly important to me to show how important it is to lift women up. Removing competition with collaborations – turning around the preverbal ladder to lift up the women below. Just as the women above me have. That is the type of business owner I want to be, and I encourage you to hold me accountable to that!
Because I am not your “first” photographer in these sessions, it allows me the freedom to get to be more creative and artful. These images fill me up! Without the pressure to get the standard images most people are looking for in their sessions. All images were shot on a Pentax 645 75mm 2.8 with portra 400 film!
