When I think of film photography, I think of whimsical, green, lush backdrops. But what happens when it’s March and everything outdoors is screaming WINTER? You follow the lead of a pregnant city planner and you take your photos downtown. This session really invigorated my creativity. I had no idea, but it was exactly what I needed! To jump out of my comfort zone (the 4 favorite parks to shoot at), and do something new. It was thrilling and I love love love how these images turned out.
This couple frequents the light rail system here in Denver and wanted to get a couple images of the family riding the light rail! It’s times like these, where I am grateful to always shoot digital as well. The need to be mobile as well as manage the dark lighting found inside the train, my favorite and ol’ reliable Canon did the trick.
Images are a combination of Fuji Pro 400h film taken on a medium format Pentax 645 120mm as well as digital images taken on a Canon 5D Mark IV. The Archetype Process – fujifilm pro pack was used to match digitals to the film.
Mandy Marie Photography specializes in newborn, maternity and family artwork in Denver, CO and surrounding areas, including Cherry Hills Village, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Lakewood, Golden, Highlands Ranch, Thornton and the front range.
